About NACL
Our Story
The NACL was inaugurated with the aim of creating a religious body of professional noble minds whose objective is to create an impact in the Church through acts of service.
We, the National Association of Catholic Lawyers, Lagos Archdiocese, in recognition of our common faith and profession and conscious of our manifest obligation to put our knowledge, talent and professional skills to the service of the Catholic Church and the society at large; aware of the need to organize ourselves into one body for the promotion and propagation of the ideals, tenets and teaching of our Christian faith.
Membership is open to qualified lawyers enrolled with the Nigerian Bar Association who are also practising Catholics and parishioners of the Catholic Church of the Assumption, Falomo. Since its establishment in 2017, the association has continued to grow in membership and impact.
Our Constitution
- Name
- The Association shall be known and called the “NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CATHOLIC LAWYERS, LAGOS ARCHDIOCESE”.
- Slogan
- The slogan of the Association shall be “Catholic Lawyers, Advocates for Justice”.
- Supremacy Clause
- This constitution is supreme to any bye-laws or rules guiding any branch of the Association in the Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos, hereafter referred to as “the Archdiocese”.
Any lawyer called to the Nigerian Bar and is of the Catholic faith shall be eligible for membership provided that proof of same is furnished to the Executive.

Our Mission
Promoting the spiritual growth of members of the Association and helping members to live out the Gospel values, which should be reflected in their lives and their work.
Our Objective
To promote and foster the spirit of oneness and co-operation, and to create an atmosphere and forum for mutual and better understanding among members.
